Writing Your Family Story: A Guided Genealogy Workshop

As part of the America 250 Celebration, the Sno-Isle Genealogical Society invites the public to a free, six-week writing course with four in-person sessions focused on helping participants write one meaningful family or genealogy-based story.
This workshop is designed to be approachable and supportive — not a full family history project. Participants may write about an event, an ancestor, a trip, or how their family connects to a larger historical moment. No writing experience or completed research is required.
Experienced Sno-Isle Genealogical Society volunteers will be available to provide writing encouragement and light research assistance using the society’s library resources.
Dates: January 14 & 21; February 18 & 25, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Humble House at Heritage Park, Lynnwood, WA
Cost: Free
