Marysville Incorporation Ballot

This was the ballot that kept tally of votes to incorporate Marysville as a city. It also kept tally of votes for the first Mayor, City Treasurer, and City Council.

How it represents the community’s American experience:

This ballot represents early democracy in Marysville and Washington State. Residents of the new settlement of Marysville used this ballot to have their voices heard in the direction of their new community.
