Roslyn Museum (Out of Many, One display)
June 14 - September 30

Coal Miners
The display depicts the must haves for every coal miner—a lunch bucket and a hard hat with light. All mines were underground, dark, and dirty. They worked hard for little pay in less then desirable conditions some at a early age. But it was life and survival back in the day.
How it represents the community’s American experience:
The item truly represents what a coal miner needed to survive in the underground mines, which was important and valuable for many that traveled far from their home countries to America to live the American dream. Over 27 nationalities were represented in the Roslyn area that lived and worked in the local mines.
On display at the Roslyn Museum, Friday–Sunday, 11–3 p.m., June 14–September 30, 2026.
