This summer, downtown Ellensburg becomes the epicenter of artistic reflection as we commemorate America’s 250th anniversary through the powerful lens of contemporary photography. From June 19 through August 1, 2026, witness how today’s visual storytellers are “turning the camera lens onto our nation” to capture what America means, stands for, and could become.

National Photography Showcase – In our Main Gallery, view award-winning works competing for $800 in prizes, representing the finest contemporary American photography exploring our nation’s identity.
Community Voices Project – In our Mezzanine, experience Ellensburg through neighbors’ eyes via intimate Polaroid snapshots capturing local connections to America’s story
International Perspective – In our Community Gallery, explore South African artist Lounette Loubser’s striking block prints inspired by American architecture—see your homeland through the eyes of someone choosing to make it home
