45 Star US Flag from Myrtle Overbaugh
The Greatest Benefactor of the Gorge Heritage Museum, Myrtle Overbaugh, donated this flag along with many other items to the West Klickitat County Historical Society in the mid-1980s.
How it represents the community’s American experience:
This framed flag, from an era when the Wild West was still growing up and from the mother of our museum and local history—Myrtle Overbaugh—we feel is a representation of the American experience in the White Salmon River Valley area.
On display at the Gorge Heritage Museum, open Friday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., May 22 – September 26, 2026; or by appointment year-round.
