America 250 Mason County Forest Festival

America 250 Mason County is a non partisan group. You can visit your local group at the Forest Festival parade and have a booth on Loop Field again this year. You are welcome to join them. They have coordinated a flag making opportunity for the community youth sponsored by Sierra Pacific starting in March. The flags will be displayed in the parade and on loop field.
The local America 250 Mason County group/committee is organized through the Washington State Historical Society.
Early in 2025, a small group of locals gathered to talk about the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. (Learning how to say and spell the semi-quincentennial was revolutionary, to say the least!) As friends of history, the merry band has grown with many new friends and renewed old friendships. They present entertaining history, share knowledge, explore personal histories and never stop learning even more about our history as we continue to commemorate America 250. Come join the journey with the group!
They are focused on our country’s semi-quincentennial which is a landmark historical event worthy of reflection, commemoration, joyful celebration and honors the sacrifices and contributions of all who have come before us in creating this nation. They are a non political, non partisan group that welcomes and appreciates help from others of like minds! They have received support from several local entities and planning to gain more support.
